Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU Night Shift position requiring an active OK or Compact RN license and 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• (CVICU) within a Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required
• May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief unit orientation provided

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• ,
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of relevant CVICU/ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
• Experience managing CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure patients
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Experience with Impella and sheath removal
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure patients
• Experience with IV insulin protocols

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular ICU patients
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience is not required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former employees of the facility must have been separated from permanent staff status for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
