Accounts Payable Accounting Technician

The Accounts Payable Accounting Technician is responsible for reviewing a wide range of source documents, such as purchase orders, vouchers, invoices, EPVs, receipts, requisitions and other forms for accuracy and completeness; Processes various accounts payable; Distributes checks; Contacts vendors to resolve questions; Enters routine financial transactions into accounting systems; Verifies information; Organizes and maintains hard copy files of Purchase Orders and check copies; Assists with metering college mail; Attends training and implements processes as directed; Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers; Correctly applies accounting principles according to GAAP, Governmental Accounting Standards, applicable state and federal guidelines and TCSG fiscal policies and procedures; Performs limited, routine general clerical duties.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday Thursday 6.25 hours a day between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm (TBD) and Friday 8 am 12 pm.

Travel Travel to other campus locations and for training is required on occasion.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent *and* One (1) year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting clerical work. Additional Information
