We specialize in commercial trucks and have a large commercial truck parts department that serves New Jersey, New York City and more.We offer a full benefits package including:Competitive hourly salary – $20-$40 per hour, depending on experienceTop pay for A-Level Technicians, depending on experienceOpportunities for Efficiency Bonuses increase earnings potentialOpportunities for overtime increase earnings potentialOpportunities for advancement with factory paid training!Annual union scale salary increasesHealth, Dental, Vision insurances401(k) AND Pension PlanPaid Time Off and Sick TimeUniform Service and Work Boot allowanceClosed on SundaysUnion ShopTool AllowanceWeekly pay daysSome Job Responsibilities are:The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs, performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner.Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsWillingness to contribute to the team by participating in ongoing trainingQualifications needed are:High school diploma or equivalent2-5+ years of Service Technician experience requiredA or B level qualification including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair a preferred and a PLUSASE Certification preferred and a BIG PLUSTechnical Training preferred and a PLUSDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and trainingWe are an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
