Role: Software / AI Native Engineer

Location: Canada (Remote)

Type: Contract

Requirement:

Daily hands-on use of GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code CLI in their own coding workflow, with a specific example they can describe
Has personally built an AI agent, LLM integration, or agentic workflow that reached production
Strong AWS - this is our enterprise cloud; Azure-primary candidates will not be Day-1 productive
Core software engineering depth: microservices, APIs, DevOps/CI-CD, cloud-native architecture
Currently writing code - IC contribution within the last 6 months

Strong signals (prioritize these candidates)

MCP (Model Context Protocol) - has built an MCP server or MCP-enabled integration. This is rare and highly differentiating; flag any candidate who mentions it.
Agent frameworks named specifically: LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, Strands, Bedrock Agents
AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI or Anthropic APIs used in production
Built internal developer platforms or engineering productivity products
RAG systems in production - with retrieval quality/evaluation, not just a vector DB
LLM observability / evaluation tooling - Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust, W&B
AI governance / responsible AI frameworks - guardrails, prompt injection defense, audit logging
