BIM Coordinator - Entry Level

Currently, StaffBright has an exciting opportunity with a well-established electrical contractor in West Michigan. As the company continues to grow its operations in the Grand Rapids area , they are looking to add an BIM Coordinator- Entry-Level to support their field and office teams.

This is a great opportunity for a journeyman electrician looking to move into BIM/VDC or a recent graduate with Revit experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the team by managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational projects.
• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models in Revit MEP, including conduit, cable tray, lighting, power, and fire alarm systems.
• Generate accurate site layouts and field installation drawings for electrical crews.
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection using Navisworks / BIM 360 with other trades.
• Produce detailed drawings and points for Trimble / Total Station layout in the field.
• Work directly with the BIM Manager, Project Managers, and field foremen to ensure models match field conditions.
• Maintain model accuracy and support project documentation from pre-con to installation.

What We Need From You

• 1-3 years of BIM, Revit, or electrical construction experience.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar, OR electrical field experience as an apprentice/journeyman electrician with interest in learning BIM.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, conduit routing, or construction drawings.
• Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360, or Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and collaborate with field and office teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Certificate or degree in Electrical Technology, CAD, or Construction Management from a local college or technical program.
• Experience with Trimble, SysQue, or Fabrication MEP.
• Apprenticeship or electrical field experience.
• Autodesk Revit Certified User.
