About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Corporate Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial operations. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, managing the annual external audit process, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP, Corporate Controller will also be involved in the general ledger and close process, maintaining internal controls, and managing the tax provision process. As a strategic advisor to senior leadership, the role requires strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to meet critical deadlines. Candidates for the VP, Corporate Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A CPA license is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years' of progressive accounting leadership experience, with a background in financial statement preparation, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis. Experience in banking, credit union, or financial institution accounting is highly valued. The role also involves leadership responsibilities, including fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and accountability, as well as recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing team members.
