Role Highlights:

• Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week
• One elementary school assignment – no itinerant travel required
• Center-based (self-contained) classroom serving students with serious emotional and behavioral challenges
• Individualized administrative time included, along with paid team meetings

Desired Background:

• Valid Colorado Special Education Teacher license (required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally within a self-contained or center-based setting
• Strong understanding of emotional disabilities and behavior intervention strategies
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and cooperation among students and colleagues
• Creative problem solver who can adapt instruction to meet a variety of needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with significant emotional and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize evidence-based behavioral interventions and classroom management techniques
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Participate actively in team meetings and support collaborative decision-making
