Electrical Engineer | MEP Building Systems | Houston, TX

I’m hiring for Electrical Engineers with MEP building systems experience across the Houston market.

The roles I’m supporting are with established design firms working on large, active building projects across healthcare, aviation, education, commercial, industrial, mission critical, and data center work.

This is a good fit for someone who wants more than just redlines and production work. These teams need electrical engineers who can contribute to design, coordinate with other disciplines, support CA, and continue building toward more project ownership.

What You’ll Work On:

• Electrical power distribution
• Interior and exterior lighting
• Emergency and standby power
• Low-voltage coordination
• One-lines, panel schedules, and load calculations
• Revit and AutoCAD documentation
• Construction administration, RFIs, submittals, and site coordination

What Candidates Usually Care About:

• Better project exposure
• Stronger technical mentorship
• Clearer path toward PE or lead engineer responsibilities
• A team that lets you take on more ownership
• Competitive pay based on experience and licensure
• Hybrid flexibility with some firms

Good Backgrounds:

• MEP consulting or A&E electrical design experience
• Commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, industrial, mission critical, or data center project exposure
• Strong understanding of building power, lighting, and electrical code coordination
• EIT or PE preferred, but not required for every role
