Share this job:Share Plasma Operator - 2nd Shift with a friend via e-mailOur Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThe Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The Vehicle Scale team requires a safe working, detail-oriented CNC Plasma fabricator able to operate various pieces of equipment including a press brake, and overhead bridge crane. Your responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:* Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated* Maintain quality throughout the process* Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery* Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders* Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives* Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safely* Identify and implement safety improvementsThis position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.Minimum Education / Experience Required:* Highschool Diploma or GED required* Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment* Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment (jib, Plasma CNC machine and Press brake)* Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation* Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.)* Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forklift* Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations* Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques* Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends)* Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching – all starting on date of hire.* Tuition reimbursement, educational matching gift program, parental leave benefits as well as perks and discounts.* All the benefits you would expect from a global leader such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits.* Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing.* A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation.* Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards.* A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipment.Preferred LocationOhioShare this job:Share Plasma Operator - 2nd Shift with a friend via e-mail #J-18808-Ljbffr Mettler Toledo AG
