Description As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to patients in urgent situations. Your expertise will be essential in managing diverse cases and ensuring timely interventions, all while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients Assess and triage patients based on urgency Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions Collaborate with nursing and support staff for optimal patient care Document patient interactions and treatments accurately Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions Maintain compliance with medical regulations and standards Provide mentorship to junior staff when applicable Requirements Valid MD or DO license in the state of practice Completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work efficiently under pressure Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Commitment to providing compassionate patient care Schedule: 6a-2p, 11a-11p, 2p-10p, or 10p-6a No call requirement Support Staff: MDs, APPs EMR: Meditech Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expense #J-18808-Ljbffr
