Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in cost analysis, inventory, and operational finance. The Cost Accountant will play a key role in monitoring product costs, improving margins, and supporting business decision-making. Responsibilities Analyze and maintain standard costs, variances, and cost structures Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations and cycle count support Monitor and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and production costs Prepare and review monthly cost variance reports and provide insights Partner with operations and finance teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability Support budgeting and forecasting related to production and cost drivers Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations Evaluate and improve cost accounting processes and controls Support audits related to inventory and cost accounting Assist with system implementations or enhancements related to costing Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of cost accounting or related experience Experience with inventory accounting and cost analysis Strong understanding of standard costing and variance analysis Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate financial insights to cross-functional teams What Our Client Offers Opportunity to work closely with operations and influence business outcomes Collaborative and growth-oriented team environment Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Stable organization with opportunities for advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Ringside Talent Acquisition Partners
