Support communications needs as they arise, with a specific focus on advertising and branding Edit documents Complete writing assignments Gather photos and videos Plan and execute events Develop social media posts and other content Support the website Participate in a 10-week Summer 2027 internship at HII’s Corporate office in Newport News, Virginia Requirements US Citizenship Required for this Position Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Enrolled in a relevant degree program supporting the company’s business requirements Relevant fields typically include Business, Management, Accounting, Economics/Finance, Tax Accounting or Accounting Taxation, Computer Information Science or Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, English, and Human Resources Currently attending a 4-year college or university or 2+2 program Ideally a rising Junior or above, attending school in the fall following the internship, or currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program Ability to work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer Valid email address required when applying, receiving communication, and obtaining employment offers Unofficial transcripts required with application; official transcripts will be required Coursework in Communications is nice to have Core Competencies Demonstrates strong communication skills with a focus on advertising, branding, and content creation.
