The primary mission is to meet or exceed customer requirements by providing quality products on time and within program cost targets, while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.What You’ll Get to Do:Providing leadership direction in areas such as: Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/ Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, Performance Management, and ISO9001, AS9100 and all auditable processesManaging annual budgetary responsibilities of $1M - $1.5MProvide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policiesDrive employee efficiencyMeet product cost and schedule targetsManage the area to produce quality productsEngage employees to achieve their highest potentialBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environmentExperience as a Functional Leader across teamsExperience with effective communication with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and ProfessionalsExperience with developing and managing budgets with responsibility for cost performanceAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security ClearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a union represented environmentExperience with robotics, RF, ISO9001/AS9100LEAN manufacturing and process improvement experienceActive Secret level security clearanceExperience with the following metrics: Performance Index, Utilization, Test Yields and Rework HoursTechnical STEM degreeNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
