This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a Shift Lead , you'll lead our integration engineers and production personnel on C -Shift. Working as an integral part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will directly impact the future of spaceflight and help build the road to space through reusable rockets. Through your leadership, you'll guide your team to define the future of spaceflight production, supporting our engine programs with high-value parts and unwavering focus on safe, repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 10% of the time Shifts available: C shift Interviews will include a technical assessment Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct performance reviews Support recruiting efforts (conducting technical screens/participating in panel interviews) Responsible for establishing workstation assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employees Maintain and communicate work center schedule status to ensure meeting customer expectations Provide first level escalation support to employees regarding HR issues (employee relations, worker's compensation, disciplinary actions, timecards, PTO requests) Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and implementing change to improve process, reduce cycle and setup times Maintain all work center programs. These programs include 5S, Lean, Cleaningand Safety Ensure all team members follow work instructions, quality requirements and processes Ensure accurate technician staff data recording - namely clock-in/clock-out activities Provide continued training and skills development for team members, and mentor early career team members Ensure start-up readiness for production Safely work within an industrial environment Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment OR 3+ years of experience in as an individual contributor within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders. Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements. Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Root cause and corrective action analysis experience Understand the department KPI's metrics to improve performance Strong communication skills with a heavy customer focus Must have a continuous improvement mindset Clear understanding of production versus development environments Fluent in use of precision hand tools Familiar with use of personal computers Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field. Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field Experience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals. Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools (e.g., CAD software, ERP systems). Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing. Proven track record of successful team leadership and project management. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification. Willingness to work overtime. Strong experience with fluids and mechanical systems Knowledge of installation and assembly tolerances Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, Military, or equivalent experience.
