Cost Estimator

Cost Estimator Location: Remote – Atlanta, GA Overview We are looking for a Cost Estimator to support the Cost Management division. The candidate will develop cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, provide client service, interact with contractors, and manage cost controls through construction administration. Essential Functions Develop construction cost budgets from preliminary, schematic, design, and construction documents for projects such as retail restaurants, sitework, and vendor items. Compare budget costs to benchmark pricing, analyze quantities and scope items, and assist in value engineering. Enhance cost control service delivery by increasing efficiency, improving processes, and managing cost changes. Develop and maintain historical cost benchmarks for various project types. Prioritize requests to meet or exceed customer expectations. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. 3 to 5 years of experience in cost management and understanding of CSI trade costs. Experience in Construction Management or Real Estate is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate analytical data to client and team to achieve project goals. Working knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings. Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed. Highly organized with strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to support Business Development initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills, including interaction with customer and JLL executives. Ability to communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, client representatives, and team members. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and project software such as RS Means, Onscreen Center, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, CostX, PlanSwift.
