Job ID: 300359 Location: Atlanta, Georgia Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary Direct the contract management and project team activities for one or more large assigned capital building projects from inception to final completion. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with Design & Construction management and staff, Facilities management, contractors, architects. This position typically will advise and counsel Design & Construction management and staff, Facilities management, contractors, architects. This position will supervise assigned project managers. Responsibilities Oversee the development and negotiations leading to building projects. Prepare RFQ/RFP leading to A&E contracts, construction contracts, design-build contracts and other consulting and construction agreements. Review proposals and recommend contract awards. Manage the design and construction phases of assigned projects. Administer project budgets and schedules. Prepare and present construction progress reports. Plan, supervise and evaluate performance of assigned staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to six years of job related experience. Requires 12 hour work days when involved in supervision of staff working on special projects. Preferred Qualifications Registered Architect, Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional certification, LEED AP certification. Salary Proposed salary is $88,000 through $100,000 commensurate with education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities This job requires working knowledge of the principles and processes associated with construction engineering. Ability in negotiation, contract administration, project management, communications, budgeting, and use of standard and specialized computer applications is required.
