Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a strong Senior Accountant. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, support audit and tax activities, and collaborate with leaders across the organization. Responsibilities

• Lead critical activities associated with monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, accruals, and financial records to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Develop financial analyses, reporting packages, and supporting documentation for management review.
• Partner with departments throughout the organization to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
• Assist with business integrations, ERP enhancements, and financial process improvement initiatives.
• Support external audit engagements by providing requested schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external advisors regarding tax filings, compliance requirements, and related reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting team members.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
• Experience managing general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial reporting, and close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting external audits and regulatory compliance activities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and leadership teams.
• CPA designation and/or public accounting experience is highly preferred.
