Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA. Onsite. U.S. Citizen required for security clearance. What You Will Do Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs. Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP. Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required. Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making. Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base. Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes. Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence. Qualifications You Must Have A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience to include any combination of the following: The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. Experience with technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE). Demonstrated hands‑on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines. Qualifications We Prefer Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail. Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming. Experience with Refurbishment and Repair requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE). Compensation ranges from $95,500 to $181,700.
