Position Title:  Community Association Manager

Reports to:  Integrator

Location:  Durango, CO (hybrid)

Status:  Part-time

We partner with HOA Board members, property owners, and other stakeholders to protect their assets, avoid Board burnout, and avoid big problems through high-quality management services. We are seeking a Community Association Manager to serve as the account manager for a number of our community association clients. For each client, example responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Board members, Association owners, etc.
• Effectively navigate a spectrum of governance, financial and maintenance needs to accomplish Association goals (i.e., be the one to determine priority and develop systems to get things done)
• Meet regularly with Board leadership to deliver contracted management services; regularly reference and follow signed Management Agreement
• Lead Annual, Board, and other meetings by:
• • Sending proper notices, preparing/distributing agendas, etc.
  • Attending & dynamically participating in all discussions
  • Managing election/voting process
• Ensure Association, Ownership, and Management compliance with applicable governing documents, legal requirements, etc.
• Manage association insurance policies, recurring tasks, owner information/contact lists, etc. as defined in the Management Agreement
• Support the filing of CCIOA annual disclosure checklists
• Collect all Association assessments, charges, etc.
• • Implement Client Collection Policies
• Maintain information integrity in organizational systems (e.g., AppFolio, Monday.com)
• Meet with President/Board Leader on-site at the Association at least once per year (minimum)
• Participate in professional development activities to advance governance excellence

Position Requirements:

• Experience with, or genuine interest in, community associations (HOAs), business administration, and/or governance
• Ability to study for and obtain the CMCA Certification (paid for by Reliance)
• Ability to learn and become a trusted resource on the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA)
• An expert in all business communication: written (email, letters, agendas, etc.) and oral (phone calls, HOA meetings, etc.)
• Ability to innovate and be a self-starter of sorts, capable of identifying problems and implementing sensible solutions, with minimal oversight
• Ability to serve as a trusted advisor and upstanding community member of sorts
