Behavioral Health Clinician II

Behavioral Health Clinician II Salary may be negotiable within the range listed above, based on position requirements and successful candidate's qualifications, subject to appropriate authorization. Premium Pay Bilingual pay: Qualified employees who meet the criteria found on page 17 shall receive an additional ninety $0.90 cents per hour for all hours paid. Night Shift Differential pay: Employees assigned to a night shift shall be paid a night shift differential for each hour actually worked on the assigned night shift. Pay rate is determined by assigned shift hours found on page 13. Other additional premium pays are available. Responsibilities Provide both individual and group interventions, such as psycho‑educational groups, parent training, brief individual counseling, brief group counseling, case management, referral, and linkage to community services. Administer a variety of evidence‑based practices in interventions provided to the community. Screen participants for program eligibility and conduct both individual and family needs assessments. Prepare written materials and present information professionally and represent HCA positively. Collect demographic and outcome data to measure impact of program and changes in behavioral health. Use the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system for scheduling and documentation requirements for some divisions. Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of programs and may complete a variety of projects to accomplish this task. Provide field‑based services to participants to help engage them in treatment and also help them find meaningful roles and activities in the community. Follow the ethical and practice guidelines as outlined by the Board of Behavioral Science. May participate in research projects, conduct oversight of services by contract providers, or perform crisis intervention and involuntary hold evaluations depending on division requirements. May serve as a clinical lead for employees in the Behavioral Health Clinician I class. Desirable Qualifications & Core Competencies Sound judgment, good decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills. Independent work, reliability, proactive involvement, confidence, and optimism in performing daily tasks. Bilingual skills in Spanish or Vietnamese are highly desirable. Substantial knowledge and practical experience related to core competencies, including: Understanding and applying HIPAA. Applying evidence‑based practices in a behavioral health setting. Applying recovery principles. Working with participants in crisis, including those with prior hospitalizations. Understanding Integrated Care and collaboration with Agency partners. Providing prevention and early intervention behavioral health services. Software proficiency with EHR, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Understanding of outcome measures, crisis assessment, involuntary hold processes, quick decision‑making. Effective oral communication, relationship building, and de‑escalation skills.
