Assess patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment plans that strategically address immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing concerns.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive care plans.
Educate patients and families on strategies to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care along the treatment continuum.
Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Pursue ongoing professional development and advancements in the field through educational opportunities and collaboration with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment.
Expertise in evidence-based approaches for treating individuals of all ages with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, fostering connections with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team.
Adept at modifying therapeutic techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills.
Competent in utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation requirements.
