About Chip Chip is the first mass-market American robot. He just happens to be your car. Chip is building a new category of vehicle. Most cars are engineered for highway speeds and long-distance range. The reality is that 60% of daily trips are under 6 miles. Chip is built for those trips: fully electric, street-legal on roads up to 35 mph, 100+ mile range, and made to fit the way people actually move through their neighborhoods. We're also launching Chip Go!, a remote-driving service that keeps your vehicle moving when you're not inside it. Say the word and he'll go off to park himself, run an errand, get cleaned, or come get you and the family. Rolling out regionally. We launched publicly in July 2026 and reservations are open nationally. The Role You own the numbers. FP&A, the operating model, the cash forecast, the forward-looking models we take to investors, and the scenario work sitting behind every real decision we make. You also own the cost and supply chain side. The bill of materials, landed cost, supplier quotes, purchase order and deposit timing, and what all of it does to margin and working capital. Most finance people are strong on the first part. Fewer are strong on the second. We need both. This is our first dedicated finance hire, so you're building the function rather than inheriting it. You'll report to the C-suite and work closely with our engineering and manufacturing functions. We're based in Miami and open to you starting remote, with relocation preferred. Expect some travel, including to our manufacturing and supplier partners. What you'll do Planning, forecasting, and scenarios The operating model, as the single source of truth. A rolling 13-week cash forecast and a live view of runway, updated weekly. Scenario and sensitivity analysis. Price, volume, ramp timing, tariffs,hiring, raise timing. We make real decisions off these, so they need to be fast, legible, and right. Board and investor reporting, including the metrics we choose to run the company on. Fundraising models The forward-looking model we take to investors. Multi-year build, driver-based, and defensible line by line under diligence. Raise scenarios. How much, at what point in the ramp, and what each path do to run way. The analysis behind the story. Volume assumptions, cost curves, and the path to increased margin, in a form an investor can stress-test in front of you. Capital structure and debt Non-dilutive capital. We'd rather not fund capex and inventory with equity,and you own the work that makes the alternatives possible. Build the case. What we can borrow against, what a facility should look like,what it actually costs us, and the package and model a lender needs to see. Equipment and tooling financing, inventory and purchase-order financing, and venture debt where it earns its place. Supplier payment terms and deposit structure. Usually the cheapest capital available to us, and the first place to look before anyone calls a lender. Manage what we close. Borrowing base and covenant reporting, the day-to-day lender relationship, and keeping us compliant without it becoming a fire drill every month. Cost, BOM, and supply chain A component-level cost model built up against actual supplier quotes, not estimates. Landed cost, including freight, duties, and tariffs. Design and sourcing tradeoffs, modeled with our engineering and manufacturing functions. Where the volume breaks are, what a part change costs, what a supplier change does to cash. Purchase order and deposit schedules, lead times, and what all of it does to working capital. Unit economics for the vehicle and for Chip Go!, with a defensible path to increased margin at volume. You're not the person negotiating with suppliers. You're the person who can tell us what a quote actually means. Business operations Accounts payable, expense policy, spend approvals, and corporate card administration. The close calendar, run with our outside bookkeeper and tax accountants. Vendor contracts, renewals, and insurance. The compliance calendar. Entity filings and state registrations. Leverage from our outside team. Using the bookkeeping team for FP&A support rather than doing everything yourself. What you'll need Strong FP&A or strategic finance background inside an operating company. Banking or private equity experience is welcome, and isn't a substitute for having done this in-house. Expert in Excel or Sheets. You build models from scratch, you build them so other people can read them, and you like the work. This is most of the job. Hardware, manufacturing, automotive, consumer durables, or mobility experience. Rental, fleet, and shared mobility all count. Comfortable being the entire function. No analyst under you at the start, though you can bring in contract help where it earns its cost. You bring the recommendation, not just the spreadsheet. We want your view and your reasoning, and we'll push on both. Direct, low-ego, fast. We're not expecting all of this in one person. Tariffs, customs, and how shipping terms move cost and risk between us and a supplier. Fundraising diligence support during a live process. A debt facility you've actually run, not only modeled. Covenants, borrowing base reporting, and lender relationships. Genuine interest in transportation. Compensation and benefits $130,000 to $170,000, depending on experience. Equity in Chip.
