Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed for pediatric patients with various orthopedic ailments.
• Provide direct hands-on care to children through exercises, mobility training, and specific strengthening activities, encouraging engagement and cooperation.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting observations, and communicating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Educate parents and caregivers about rehabilitation techniques and encourage family involvement in the child's therapy, providing them with home exercise programs tailored to enhance their child's growth.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with a team of therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and meet the diverse needs of pediatric clients.
• Create a positive and motivating atmosphere for children as they progress through their therapy, embodying the core values of Suncrest Physical Therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on pediatric patients ranging from infants to teenagers who are dealing with a variety of physical challenges. These may include developmental delays, neurological disorders, orthopedic concerns, and post-operative rehabilitation. Our team is committed to treating each child with compassion, respect, and dedication, ensuring their unique, individual needs are met throughout their therapy journey.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid Nevada state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children and their families.
• A genuine passion for working with pediatric patients and assisting them in their developmental and rehabilitation processes.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

At Suncrest Physical Therapy, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
