• Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.

• Analyzes the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.

• 457 licensed beds
• Trauma Level III
• Teaching Hospital
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center of Excellence
• Bariatric Center of Excellence
• Unit Information:
• Beds: 14 private rooms, including two negative pressure rooms
• Minimum Years of Experience required 2 years Critical Care (Resource Team requirement)
• Will you accept a first-time traveler Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team)
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
• STEMI (unstable), cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, thoracic surgery
• CT Surgery to include CABG, Valve, Dissection

• Management of vasoactive medications, various surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, CRRT
• Invasive lines, including arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers
• Management of invasive devices, including IABP, Impella
• Support within the Department:
• Charge nurse may or may not have patient assignment
• IV/VAT Team? yes
• RT 24/7
• Intensivist 24/7 (unit based)
• Technology/Equipment:
• EMR: Epic
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Phillips
• Floating: Within region and scope of practice (Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)))

• Orientation (facility and unit): NEO, 2 days departmental

• Weekend rotation: every other; No call; Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays; RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours; Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
