Early Interventionist - Spanish/English

The Early Interventionist provides specialized developmental intervention and monitoring to children, ages 0 to 3 (0-5 in Lakeport), who have an identified developmental delay or may be at risk of delay. The Early Interventionist works closely with families, care providers and members of the Regional Centers’ interdisciplinary teams to monitor and enable children’s development. The Early Interventionist is charged with creating a rich learning environment in which the child can make progress, meet treatment goals, and maximize learning potential.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSProvide effective early intervention services in an inclusive and innovative manner that supports families and clientsSet and monitor client goals and evaluate clients’ developmental progressMeet or exceed EI individual billed hours and productivity targetsAdhere to clinical practice and documentation standardsCollaborate with FoC shared services departments to ensure successful delivery of servicesAdhere to the FoC network structure organizational protocolsEnsure compliance, regulatory, and funder requirements are metFollow the Easterseals EI programs business operating systemComplete additional job duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following disciplines: child development, special education, early childhood special education, social work or related field.At least 2 years of experience working with children who have been identified as having a developmental delay.Experience working with a wide range of children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Cantonese speaking highly desired.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Understanding of key early intervention principles and the ability to translate them into appropriate and effective goals development and monitoring that aligns with service plans.Ability to engage children and families, and work with very active children on the floor.Successful collaboration with peers and leadership.Effective verbal and written communication.Confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements.Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.Consistent good judgment and decision-making skills.Enthusiasm for the values and mission of the organization.Ability to work independently and to be flexible in changing work and client priorities.Physical Requirements:Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials used in home visits, weighing up to 50 lbs.Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.Frequent driving (to and from office and client homes).Ability to utilize computer, iPhone, iPad.Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients.Frequent work inside client homes; occasional work in outdoor settings.Must be able to communicate effectively within the workplace, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTAbility to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation needed.Must have a valid California Driver’s License with Insurance and maintain a clean driving record.Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.Ability to obtain and maintain National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.Must attend any required training.Time Type:Full timeCompensation:$70,304 - $80,000 AnnuallyThe statements contained in this job description reflect general details as necessary to describe the principal functions of this job.
