Description

In this role you will design, deploy, and support VMware environments for enterprise and commercial organizations across the Mid-Atlantic. The work spans vSphere, vSAN, and NSX, and includes new deployments, upgrades and lifecycle work, environment stabilization, and escalation support. As customers plan their move to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x, you will lead readiness assessments and build the migration roadmaps that follow.

The position is primarily delivery and implementation, with time in pre-sales supporting scoping, sizing, and architecture conversations. The ideal candidate will have experience in front of customers delivering from a sales capacity, as well as doing high level hands on engineering, architecture, and implementation work.

• Design, deploy, and upgrade VMware environments across vSphere, vSAN, and NSX

• Support and troubleshoot production customer environments, including escalations

• Lead VMware Cloud Foundation design and deployment engagements

• Perform readiness assessments covering hardware and compatibility validation, workload review, and upgrade sequencing

• Own technical delivery from design through cutover and knowledge transfer

• Partner with the sales team on scoping, sizing, and solution architecture

• Work directly with customer infrastructure teams and with our Broadcom and distribution partners

• Earn and maintain Broadcom certifications, including the VCF Platform tracks - Any Knight Certifications is a HUGE plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Significant hands-on VMware experience, current and in production

• Strong vSphere background with deployment experience in vSAN, NSX, or both

• Experience planning and executing upgrades and migrations in live environments, including change window planning

• Ability to work directly with customer technical teams and IT leadership

• Broadcom or VMware certifications, or the background to complete them quickly

• Located in the Washington DC to Baltimore corridor, able to work a hybrid schedule and travel to regional customer sites

• VMware Cloud Foundation experience at any version

• VCF Edge

• Healthcare or other regulated industry experience

• Exposure to alternative virtualization platforms

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ellicott City, MD.

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
