Position Overview

The Property Insurance Renewal Specialist is responsible for helping ensure that properties securing mortgage loans maintain current and adequate insurance coverage.

This position focuses primarily on property insurance renewals, insurance verification, policy tracking, and communication with insurance agents, insurance companies, and borrowers . The Specialist will review insurance documents, monitor upcoming policy expirations, obtain renewal information, and maintain accurate insurance records within our loan servicing system.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with experience in property insurance, insurance administration, mortgage servicing, banking, or financial services . Mortgage servicing experience is helpful but not required . Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor property insurance policies and upcoming expiration dates for properties within the mortgage servicing portfolio.
• Obtain and process insurance renewal information from insurance agents, insurance companies, and borrowers.
• Contact insurance agents and carriers by phone and email to obtain renewal policies, declarations pages, invoices, and evidence of insurance.
• Review insurance documents for property address, coverage amounts, policy dates, mortgagee information, and other required information.
• Update insurance policy and expiration information within the loan servicing system.
• Maintain accurate electronic insurance records and supporting documentation.
• Follow up on missing, incomplete, expired, or canceled insurance policies.
• Communicate with borrowers when additional insurance documentation or information is required.
• Assist with insurance premium payments and escrow-related insurance questions when applicable.
• Identify loans requiring additional follow-up or referral for lender-placed insurance.
• Research and resolve insurance-related questions from borrowers, insurance agents, and internal staff.
• Follow established company procedures and documentation requirements.
• Provide additional administrative support to the loan servicing team as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with insurance agents, insurance companies, and customers by phone and email.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow up consistently on outstanding items.
• Ability to learn new software and work efficiently with electronic records and document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in property insurance, insurance administration, insurance policy servicing, mortgage servicing, banking, escrow, or financial services .
• Experience working for an insurance agency, insurance carrier, mortgage company, mortgage servicer, or financial institution.
• Familiarity with homeowners, dwelling, hazard, flood, or other property insurance policies.
• Experience reviewing insurance declarations pages, evidence of insurance, policy renewals, or insurance invoices.
• Experience with mortgage escrow or lender-placed insurance is a plus.
• Experience with Nortridge Loan Servicing Software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary: $41,600 – $45,000 , depending on experience
