Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every other weekend required | Holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Acute Care unit with a patient population including CHF, COPD, ESRD, Pneumonia, Renal Failure, Sickle Cell Crisis, Orthopedic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, AMS, and Sepsis
• Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 6:1 in collaboration with LPN and CNA support staff
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
• Monitor telemetry and coordinate with on-site Hospitalist (available 24/7) and Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7)
• Perform or coordinate IV access needs, consulting the PICC team as needed
• Float to other units occasionally as staffing needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• BLS certification (required)
• Ability to work every other weekend and required holidays
• Willingness to complete a 3-shift floor-specific orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med Surg setting
