Submission of an application does not guarantee employment or consideration for a specific position.* Position Details: Title: Substitute Teacher Classification: Part-Time, Hourly Reports to: Head of School Schedule: As needed based on school’s needs and your availability Qualifications and Requirements: High School Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required Background in Education or related field preferred Prior experience working with children, teaching, tutoring, childcare, or in an educational setting preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Head of School, Substitutes will: Follow lesson plans, classroom procedures, schedules, and instructions as provided by the lead classroom teacher Supervise and monitor students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school events Support classroom management using positive behavior guidance and social-emotional techniques Collaborate with faculty and staff as needed and assist with other school responsibilities as assigned (Morning/Afternoon carpool, Lunch/Recess duty, etc.) Comply with all Mason Preparatory School policies and procedures, and expectations Why Mason Preparatory School?
