ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required. Level 3 unit NICU skills are necessary to work proficiently. Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU is essential. Good time management skills for handling heavy patient loads are required. Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units is needed. Candidates should be able to assist with intubations and bedside bronchs. Proficient EMR charting is expected. Description: The unit accommodates 160 beds with 32 staff members. There is a minimum of 5-6 day shift staff and 4-4.5 night shift staff. Patient ratios follow an RVU system. The unit is equipped with various ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment. It utilizes an EMR system for documentation. Candidates will perform procedures in ICU, CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as a respiratory therapist. The ideal candidate is independent, self-motivated, and willing to help with higher acuity patients. Being willing to work in a Level 3 NICU is essential. The dress code includes wearing pewter gray scrubs. There are long-term experienced staff members fostering a cohesive environment. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has motivated, progressive physicians. Candidates should be prepared for a competitive environment with various schedule options available.
