Inventory Control Specialist

Our tools can be found in major hardware retailers in the United States and around the world.We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist and Scheduler to support our Kansas City Distribution Center.Hours: 7am – 3:30pm (ability to work overtime)Competitive pay and salaried benefits! Starting rate is $26.00 per hour.Responsibilities:Freight schedulingSolving inventory discrepancies by conducting thorough inventory investigationsCycle countingMaterial Handling (operating various types of PITs)Uses various software tools to perform raw cycle counts and location counts to maintain accurate inventory levels to include inventory adjustmentsOrganize shipping documentsItem setups within internal softwareEnsuring all safety aspects of the jobs are being followed by employeesOther duties and special project work as assignedQualifications:1-3 years inventory control is preferred1-3 years freight scheduling experience is strongly preferred2-4 years warehouse/shipping experience is strongly preferredMust have good oral and written communication skills and good math skillsGood decision-making and problem-solving skills are a mustAttention to detail while operating safely is a mustMust have the ability to multitask and work well under pressureBasic administrative computer proficiency, to include email is required, could be required to pass administrative/general aptitude test to determine if qualified.Must be able to successfully pass the Material Handler Certification to include written exam and in person training.Excellent attendanceMeets harness and SRL (Self Retracting Lifeline) weight capacity limits (130 lbs. - 310 lbs.)Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.MARSHALLTOWN is proud to provide equal employment opportunity to individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, color, creed, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, protected disability or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal or local law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Marshalltow
