Information Technology Operations Manager

Role Description The Information Technology Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN, responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT operations that support Hermitage Design Center's retail and national sales activities. This role manages IT infrastructure, systems performance, and network reliability to ensure smooth store operations and online services. The individual will coordinate and supervise technical support activities, resolve escalated issues, and maintain IT service management processes and documentation. Responsibilities include monitoring system security, managing hardware and software assets, implementing upgrades, and collaborating with leadership to align IT strategy with business goals. This role oversees the company’s core business systems—including ERP, accounting, and reporting platforms—and partners closely with finance and operations leadership to enhance data visibility, streamline workflows, and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Systems & Application Management Administer and optimize the Odoo ERP platform, including inventory, purchasing, sales, and POS modules Manage QuickBooks Online, including integrations, data integrity, and user access controls Maintain system integrations between Odoo, QuickBooks Online, and other third-party applications Oversee system upgrades, patches, and vendor relationships Data Management & Reporting Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver financial and operational insights Design and manage data connections between Odoo, QuickBooks Online, and Power BI Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all systems Develop automated reporting solutions to support leadership on sales, margins, inventory, and cash flow Infrastructure & Security Manage IT infrastructure, including network, servers (where applicable), POS systems, and cloud platforms Oversee cybersecurity protocols, backups, disaster recovery, and access controls Ensure compliance with data protection standards and company policies User Support & Training Provide technical support to internal staff across all departments Train users on ERP, accounting, and reporting tools Develop documentation and standard operating procedures Process Improvement & Strategy Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce manual processes Partner with the CFO and operations leadership on system enhancements and data strategy Evaluate and implement new technology solutions that support company growth Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of IT systems management experience in retail or distribution preferred Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP, QuickBooks Online, and Power BI preferred Technical Skills Strong understanding of ERP and accounting system integrations Experience with APIs, data connectors, and ETL processes Knowledge of SQL and database structures Familiarity with cloud environments and network administration Soft Skills Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) System uptime and reliability Accuracy and timeliness of reporting Reduction in manual processes and growth in automation User satisfaction and support resolution time Data integrity across systems Reporting Structure Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Works closely with: Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Ownership Background Check Notice Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, reference check, drug screening, or other pre-Employment requirements permitted by law.
