Operations Coordinator ILocation: Carteret, NJ, US, 07008 Company Name: Univar Solutions USA LLCPosition Title: Operations Coordinator IWhat You'll Do:Primary Purpose: You will assist in the Warehouse and Lab as needed including the duties below:The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in our Plants, ensuring accurate execution of transactions within our SAP ERP System and supporting critical Operations Management activities on a daily basis. Our Operations Coordinators works closely with our Operations Managers and Supervisors to drive activities through the plant, including tracking of inbound and outbound shipments, management of inventories, document retention and other various work to keep our locations efficient, safe and in compliance with internal and external requirements. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator plays a key role for internal partners, acting as a liaison for Operations, and sharing information relating to Customer Order fulfillment and shipment status, coordinating shipments with Common Carriers, and managing the many vendor partners that Univar Solutions works with locally on a daily basis. This role requires individuals to have a solid base of understanding of how Warehouse Operations function, with the technical acumen to drive processes through our various business systems.Deliverables:Independently manage Transactional Activities through the SAP ERP System, including but not limited to:Receive Materials & Containers into Inventory, collect lab samples and testingAssign Storage Locations for put awayDirect Material picks in preparation for shipment to CustomersReview and firm Process Orders to schedule productionManage and scan associated documentation as needed or required to meet customer and regulatory requirementsSupport critical Plant Operations Management activities:Support Plant Safety Activities and TrainingsDevelop, retain and control critical Plant Level regulatory and environmental documentation, and provide to third parties as necessaryManage procurement of indirect and capital related materials or expenses, including vendor set up, invoice management and reconciliationSupport Operations Manager in other needed areas of focus on an as needed or project basisCoordinate communication with other Departments as necessary, relating to:Sales Order Inventory Availability & Shipment statusShipment Coordination and Freight Claim disposition with Transportation TeamsStatus of Inbound Materials with Purchasing TeamsSupport critical Inventory Control processes, including:Cycle Count management and executionInventory Adjustments, root cause and reconciliationManagement of container tracking and returnsCollaborate to drive disposition of Aged MaterialWhat You'll Need:Education/Experience/Training:Strong technical acumen and familiarity with standard business computer systemsDemonstrated understanding of Operations Management best practicesAbility to work independently and prioritize daily tasks to ensure completion of workHigh School Diploma requiredSpecialized Knowledge/Skills:2-5 years experience managing transactions through SAP ERP systemDegree in Operations Management, Accounting or Supply Chain related areas of study preferredExperience within the Chemical Industry, or other highly regulated field, preferredPay and benefits: The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location Available employee benefits include health, vision, dental coverage, along with industry-leading retirement and time off programs; benefits vary in accordance with the respective CBA if applicableWhat you can expect:Strong work/life flexibilityTo be surrounded by an inclusive team who is collaborative and committed to the achievement of the companyTo be rewarded for your contributions with a targeted annual company bonus (if applicable to your role) and annual salary reviews.
