Discovery Business and System Analyst (Top Secret Clearance Required)

Discovery Business and System Analyst Employment Type: Full‑Time, Executive‑Level Department: Legal CGS is seeking a dedicated Discovery Business and System Analyst to assist with legal accounts and support various aspects of the company’s portfolio. The analyst will provide business and IT systems analysis support, documenting and managing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, conducting gap analyses, and evaluating potential solutions. Responsibilities Document and manage new and existing business processes to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign. Conduct thorough analyses of existing and new business processes and identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency. Perform operational business requirements analysis and conduct gap analysis for required modifications to existing processes. Create and maintain a requirements database documenting how each requirement is supported. Validate that any proposed solution meets the underlying need. Collect marketing materials from industry solution providers claiming to satisfy identified business requirements. Document and manage functional capabilities provided by existing and proposed IT solutions. Analyze existing capabilities against documented requirements to identify technology gaps. Compare marketing materials and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO decision‑making. Validate that proposed solutions deliver new functional capabilities addressing requirements. Build and execute test scripts to evaluate product capabilities and provide purchase recommendations. Review solution configuration changes to maintain an accurate picture of business capabilities. Perform additional systems analysis, research, and documentation tasks as assigned.
