Position: Security Officer Badge Verification Location: WEST POINT, VA. Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour. Job Schedule: Monday 05:30 AM – 06:30 PM, Tuesday 02:00 PM – 12:00 AM. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, screening and processing entries, and supporting security‑related access control activities at a manufacturing and industrial location. Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and credential checkpoints to deter unauthorized access, verify permissions, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity according to post instructions. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skill, communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and restricted locations to identify unusual activity and report maintenance, access, or other security concerns. Maintain accurate logs, reports, and pass‑down information related to access events, inspections, and incidents, following Allied Universal standards and client site policies. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
