Senior AccountantChicago, Illinois, United States; Pasadena, California, United StatesAbout The RoleAs the Senior Accountant at Nature's Bakery, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with US GAAP, and supporting month-end close and internal control processes. You bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems and other accounting software tools. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with team members at all levels, and have the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities. Most importantly, you're passionate about driving process improvements and creating efficiencies that make a real impact.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly close processes, settling monthly intercompany receivables & payables.Record acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation of fixed assetsPerform complex and bank and account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policiesOversee Concur review and approvals, monthly billing & accrualsMaintain and enhance accounting systems, processes, and documentationSupport internal and external audits: ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.Ensure compliance with policies related to ethics, confidentiality, and safetyPerform additional accounting tasks and special projects as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows and systems.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field5–7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong technical knowledge of US GAAPHands-on experience with S4HANA, Concur, and OneStream preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including complex formulas, PivotTables, and Power QueryPower Query experience is required; Power BI experience is preferred but not requiredProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetAbility to interface effectively with all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPointWhat We Offer YouJoin us in shaping the future of food manufacturing while keeping safety, sustainability and innovation at the forefront. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
