Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

This role supports a high-volume granite countertop production facility by safely loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the shop. You operate material-handling equipment, assist with machine loading for polishing, finishing, and cutting, and help keep production running smoothly during the overnight shift in a clean, fast-paced environment.

• Load and unload granite countertops as they arrive at the facility, ensuring safe handling at all times.
• Hook granite slabs up to production machines to support polishing, finishing, and cutting operations.
• Transport granite countertops and related materials throughout the facility using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Perform frequent lifting, bending, and stretching to move heavy materials and position them for processing.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain constant awareness of surroundings in a fast-paced production environment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to support efficient production and reduce safety risks.
• Work reliably on a 3rd shift schedule from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., supporting continuous production needs.
• Collaborate with other production team members to meet daily output goals and maintain workflow.

• Ability to safely lift and carry 50–75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfort with frequent physical activity including lifting, bending, and stretching.
• Experience working in a production or general labor environment.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliability and willingness to work 3rd shift hours (10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

• Previous forklift experience is preferred; in-house training is available for candidates eager to learn.
• Experience in a clean, organized shop or manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Comfort working with large, heavy materials such as stone or similar products.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.

The role is based in a clean production shop that focuses heavily on safety and situational awareness. The facility operates at a fast pace, with continuous movement of granite countertops and materials. You work on 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy items. The environment requires adherence to safety guidelines, proper use of equipment, and appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and material-handling setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
