Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, DAYS

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide optimal patient care utilizing expert knowledge and skills within the scope of the nursing process. The incumbent will be accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the care journey, offering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families. Working in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center, the RN must demonstrate the ability to address complex patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Deliver nursing care to a variety of patients, including those with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, sepsis, and dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, including non-titratable cardiac medication drips.
• Monitor telemetry patients and demonstrate accuracy in identifying and measuring rhythm strips.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Float to Intensive Care Units and medical surgical units as needed based on competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required.
• Current NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam.
