Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, delivering high-acuity nursing services during night shifts
• Float to like units or lower-acuity units across up to five campuses within the health system as needed (excluding the ED)
• Complete a minimum of four weekend shifts per four-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the associated holiday weekend
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for all documentation and patient management
• Complete assigned non-billable compliance modules by required deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent ICU experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
• One supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Flexibility to work a block schedule (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) if needed
• Comfort with floating across multiple campuses and adapting to varying unit needs
• Experience working within large, multi-campus health systems
