About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to lead its exclusive, members-only private club. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in golf and club management, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the exceptional member experience. Key responsibilities for the GM/COO include overseeing all club operations, from golf and course maintenance to clubhouse, food and beverage, finance, and member services. The role demands a visible, approachable, and relationship-driven leader who can inspire a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The GM/COO will also be responsible for financial stewardship, budgeting, and strategic planning, as well as recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team. Applicants for the GM/COO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in golf and/or club management, with a preference for 10 years. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in private club operations, including executive leadership, team development, and a strong focus on service excellence. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management or professional golf management is preferred, and industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, or PGA are a plus. The role requires a leader with exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions with professionalism and integrity. The GM/COO will be expected to have a genuine appreciation for the outdoor lifestyle and be a cultural fit for the club and community.
