Make a meaningful impact in the classroom by supporting students and teachers in a dynamic school environment as a paraprofessional. This contract position offers the chance to utilize your passion for education and help foster a positive, inclusive learning experience for all students.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students of varying ages and backgrounds
- Patience, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to follow teacher direction and adapt to changing environments or student needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional support, reinforcing lesson content and classroom procedures
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance
- Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Take direction on classroom management strategies, contributing to a productive learning environment
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping as necessary
- Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
