As an Area Fleet Manager, you will coordinate the procurement, inspection, assignment, maintenance, repair, and disposal of company-wide automotive fleet. You may participate in or contribute to negotiations for fleet purchases and leases, as well as conduct/ participate in safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., hazardous material handling). In addition, you will investigate any accidents involving transportation vehicles.Key Responsibilities:Oversees and facilitates the efficient and economical operation and maintenance of all DHL owned or leased vehicles and related equipmentAdministers vehicle fleet policies regarding the purchase and disposal of vehicles, insurance and expense reports, accident reviews, safety and maintenanceEnsures the necessary number of vehicles is operational and available for use when neededEstablishes and monitors parts inventory control system, fleet tracking system and vehicle numbering systemEnsures that the inspection, licensing, and insurance of all vehicles are in compliance with company policy and applicable governmental regulationsCommunicates and coordinates with outside vendors who perform fleet maintenanceAssists in the development and management of the fleet operating budgetSupervises two or more staffResponsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staffAssigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processesSkills & Qualifications:Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 10+ years' experience in related field.Excellent Automotive Mechanical Aptitude RequiredExcellent creative thinking, analytical skillsExcellent decision makerInspirational leader and motivatorHighest standards of communication skills are essentialExcellent developer and team builderHighest levels of IntegrityKnowledge of DHL networks is essentialNetwork of relevant internal contacts desirableGood knowledge of Airline and airport facility operating proceduresProven record in achieving targets/objectivesNavigation of various data and web-based applicationsGood written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skillsTime Management / Good attendance historyEmployee Benefits & IncentivesDHL Express benefits and incentive offerings are designed to reflect a substantial experience for both employees and their dependents during their career and life journey.
