POSITION SUMMARY Baristas needed! Previous cash handling experience required with previous coffee house/restaurant experience preferred. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Open counter-service restaurant facilities and stock up necessary supplies or prepared food for service Operate point of sales cash register in high volume setting Secure bank for the day and set up cash register Maintain high pace while preparing and serving food or beverages in a high-volume restaurant Maintain good customer relations; interact with customers in a pleasant but professional manner Clean-up after shift is over. Properly label and store food in correct and allotted areas Ensure compliance with established health and safety procedures, complete food safety/sanitation training and practice those techniques Follow outlined recipes and plating guidelines to provide consistent product Take orders accurately and have a good knowledge of offerings Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Problem solve and learn to utilize tools at hand Other duties, as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Coffee house experience or previous restaurant experience, preferred Must be a minimum 18 years of age Must work in a kitchen with hot equipment Must communicate clearly in English Efficient problem-solving skills required Work in a high volume and high paced environment Previous cash handling experience preferred Adhere to all safety policies Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment Must have current Food Handler and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Handler and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
