Job OpportunityPosition Title: Anesthesia TechLocation: City, StateShift: Day (5x8-Hour: 07:00 - 15:00) and Night (5x8-Hour: 23:00 - 07:00)On-Call Requirements: Yes, includes night shift call and weekend coverage.Weekend Requirements: Yes, 24-hour coverage; must work a minimum of one weekend per month.Block Schedule: Required.Role SummaryThe Anesthesia Tech will perform duties across various units, ensuring that patient care is delivered efficiently and safely. The role will involve assisting anesthesia providers in diverse scenarios, special procedures, and emergency situations.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience as an anesthesia tech.Preferred experience with cell saver technology.Experience with various charting systems is required.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating room protocols.Knowledge of anesthesia machines and related troubleshooting techniques.Ability to perform emergency intubations and manage cricothyrotomy sets.Skills in patient transport, positioning, and monitoring.Experience with IV and arterial line insertions.Familiarity with operating room safety standards, infection control, and sterilization practices.Unit DetailsPatient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.Interdisciplinary Support available: IV Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Interpretation Services, Pharmacy.Additional InformationTravelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as necessary.Must complete a minimum of 40 hours of orientation.Applicants must respond to specific questions regarding past employment at any facilities.This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment in a teaching hospital with diverse clinical experiences.
