Procurement SpecialistEmployment Type: Contract-to-HireSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexibility available)Location: Marysville, OhioPosition OverviewThe Procurement Specialist supports strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction initiatives for assigned commodities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing supplier capabilities, monitoring market trends, supporting supplier selection decisions, and helping achieve cost, quality, delivery, and development objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesManage sourcing and supplier activities for assigned commodities, supporting supplier selection, pricing analysis, and procurement strategy.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving cost reduction, quality, delivery, and performance objectives.Research market trends, industry developments, and material costs to identify risks and opportunities within the supply base.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product development, to support new product launches and sourcing initiatives.Maintain procurement data, supplier records, purchase information, and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy.Support supplier negotiations, quotation management, and continuous improvement efforts to achieve business and cost-saving goals.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, or a related business function.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Preferred QualificationsExperience with purchase order management.Project coordination experience.SAP experience.Exposure to supplier management or sourcing processes.Prior negotiation experience.What We OfferContract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term career growth potential.Exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations.Opportunity to work closely with cross-functional business teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Comprehensive benefits available upon permanent hire.Work EnvironmentProfessional office environment.Standard Monday-Friday schedule with some flexibility.Team-oriented and collaborative workplace supporting professional development and career advancement.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, OH.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
