Facilities Electrical Engineer

About Us: Our client is a leading data service solution provider of data center equipment and services. They specialize in advanced cooling management systems providing smart and efficient solutions. Responsibilities: Play an integral role in the growth and maintenance of our client's facility. Will be heavily involved in construction, high-tech infrastructure, and operational facilities. Operate equipment and program/adjust medium voltage relays and breaker settings. Prepare engineering specifications for bid invitation, evaluate, and perform bid evaluation and conformed bid evaluations for purchase related to ongoing maintenance (preventive) activities. Assist Operations and Maintenance in planning outages by supporting the coordination of downtime activities and needs between stakeholders (Construction, Facility, and Manufacturing team). Review design plans/specifications prepared by others and provide base cost estimating services within electrical scope, and work with trades to drive value. Visits construction sites to determine compliance with design intent, reporting discrepancies, errors and omissions and utilizes this input to update standards, processes, and procedures. Establishes standards and specifications for installation, modification, quality control, testing, operation, inspection, and maintenance of Emergency Power Supply System (EPSS) and high voltage electrical systems according to commissioning standards, NFPA requirements, EPSS engineering principles and safety regulations. Provide technical and configuration support for the implementation and maintenance of energy systems utilizing tracking techniques and trending software and leading root cause analysis on process or asset failures. Work across sites to determine commonality and implement best practice to improve in electrical asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability. 5+ years of direct facilities experience building high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.) Professional registration as an Electrical Engineer in the State of New Mexico and/or Professional Engineer License. Experience working in design, construction, facility, operations, and commissioning for industrial, manufacturing, or research facilities Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines Medium Voltage equipment including – operating/maintaining the equipment, trouble shooting and programming /adjusting medium voltage relays Advanced knowledge and experience in Electric utility substation and distribution system engineering, maintenance, and operations; electric utility distribution system switchgear; ability to read electric utility system drawings (one-lines, three-lines, schematics, etc.) Experience in the following Electric utility system analysis software (SKM Power Tools preferred) to perform load-flow, fault-duty, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies; experience performing engineering economic studies and making recommendations to management and stakeholders Well versed and significant experience in electric utility system safe work practices in accordance with the OSHA, HAZMAT safety protocols and other applicable codes and standards (IEEE C37, C57, etc.); National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and IEEE 1584 Proven track record of managing budgets and evaluating construction related quotes and contracts #J-18808-Ljbffr Talent Alchemist, LLC
