Structured Finance Associate

Structured Finance Associate Company: RWE Americas, LLC. To start ASAP, full time, permanent. Functional area: Finance / Controlling. Remuneration: Exempt. The RWE US Structured Finance team is responsible for negotiating and executing tax equity financing agreements and tax credit transfer transactions. The team works with investors, tax credit buyers, legal counsel, consultants, and internal stakeholders to efficiently execute financing transactions and support RWE’s strategic objectives. The Structured Finance Associate is a core member of the team and works on all aspects of a transaction including building financial models and conducting financial analysis, working with external consultants to manage third‑party deliverables, and collaborating across RWE to manage information flow and diligence processes. Responsibilities Updating financial models for tax equity transactions and other financing arrangements, collaborating with various RWE business teams to obtain model inputs and assumptions. Managing investor diligence processes in partnership with RWE business teams and external consultants. Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders. Providing finance support to other teams related to Structured Finance modeling and assumptions, including quality control reviews and ad‑hoc support. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another analytical/quantitative field (required). Minimum one year of experience building, maintaining, or utilizing complex financial models, ideally for energy or renewable energy projects. Minimum one year of experience working in a fast‑paced, challenging finance environment with increasing levels of responsibility. Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with advanced knowledge of Excel formulas. Knowledge of renewable energy project economics and related incentive systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to apply creative thinking to solve complex, interrelated problems. Strong business acumen and solid understanding of business and finance concepts. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables. Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently, as well as within a team. Demonstrated desire to learn about the company and the renewables space. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams. Motivated self‑starter, goal‑oriented, and strong problem‑solving abilities. Proven ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Responsive to direction, coachable, and comfortable in a team environment. Positions requires office‑based work with some travel and visits to other RWE Americas office and field locations. Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods. Pay Range Annual base salary range for this position in Illinois: $71,000–$103,000. This range represents a general guideline and is subject to market and business considerations.
