Lead Application Developer

Analytica is seeking a Senior Developer / Task Lead to support a mission-critical, high-visibility federal government program. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with federal compliance, performance, and security standards. The company offers competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer-paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.  Responsibilities include (but not limited to):Participate as a key member of an Agile team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, and deploymentLead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise application releasesManage and coordinate daily development activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of mission-critical systemsOversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, including defect resolution, enhancements, system updates, and performance improvementsLead release planning, execution, and deployment activities across UAT and production environmentsEnsure applications meet IRS testing procedures and performance validation requirementsServe as the primary technical liaison to Government Program Managers, stakeholders, and executive leadershipEnsure solutions adhere to federal compliance, security, and architectural standardsProvide technical oversight and mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and DevOpsSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and system scalabilityBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience as a Software Developer in enterprise environmentsDemonstrated experience serving as a Technical Lead or Task Lead on federal IT programsExperience supporting mission-critical systems in production environmentsStrong proficiency in:C#, ASP.NET, .NET FrameworkSQL Server (T-SQL, database design, administration)Web technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript)Experience working within Agile development environments and modern SDLC practicesStrong understanding of release management, testing, and deployment processesAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience ensuring compliance with federal testing and performance standards (e.g., IRS guidelines)Ability to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Background Investigation (Public Trust or higher)Must be a US CitizenSummaryLocation: Bethesda, MD, United StatesType: Full TimeExperience: Manager/Supervisor
