The fast-moving world of commercial construction requires a proactive, highly organized Purchaser to keep major job sites running smoothly. Salary & Work Hours Salary: $65,000 - $74,999.99 per year. Shift: First. Work hours: 9 AM – 5 PM. Responsibilities Strategic Material Procurement: Source and purchase large‑scale commercial flooring materials such as carpet tile, LVT, sheet vinyl, ceramics, adhesives, and specialized tools based on project estimates and takeoffs. Long‑Term Process Oversight: Manage multiple long‑term procurement, fabrication, and shipping processes, tracking factory lead times and transport schedules to ensure continuous material delivery to active job sites. Vendor Management & Negotiation: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with global and domestic manufacturing vendors, negotiating bulk pricing, payment terms, and freight logistics to optimize company margins. Purchase Order (PO) Management: Issue, track, and reconcile high‑volume purchase orders, verifying that delivery tickets and vendor invoices match estimated quantities and agreed pricing. Cross‑Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Estimators, Project Managers, and Warehouse Supervisors to adjust delivery schedules dynamically based on evolving on‑site installation timelines. Work up to 5 hours of overtime per week. Qualifications 5 years of experience in commercial construction procurement. Experience level: Experienced. High School education required. Strong project and materials management skills.
