Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Maintenance Technician (Night Shift – 7pm to 7am) – work approximately 15 days per month on a rotating bi‑weekly schedule. Responsibilities Spend 95% of time troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. Understand and describe current status of all production machines on the floor. Work closely with shift supervisor to maintain machines in a safe, efficient, and quality process. Attend first 15 minutes of shift in a turnover meeting with previous shift technicians. Enter information in the maintenance log and operating systems before departing. Replace heater bands, heat relays, and troubleshoot heat zones. Service hydraulics and replace hydraulic pumps. Troubleshoot pneumatic systems. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting of machinery. Maintain GMP and SQF compliance and adhere to food‑safety requirements. Respond to any emergency or potential emergency. Maintain security diligence: control door accesses, prevent unauthorized entry, and secure equipment and information. Participate in GMP and SQF practices. Assist in preventing nonconforming product from being shipped. Identify and record problems related to product, process, and quality systems. Initiate action to prevent non‑conformities. Recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Suggest actions for continual improvement and verify implementation of solutions. Qualifications Two to five years as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. Comfortable working with various maintenance software systems. Knowledge of Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out requirements. Understanding of safe rigging practices. Forklift certification. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Prior experience with manufacturing and conveying equipment highly preferred. Experience with Stretch Blow Molding or Injection Blow Molding machines preferred. Experience with resin and blending systems strongly preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
